“Revolution”: humor pays off for Diffo

Thanks to their technical prowess and their contagious humor, the Diffo duo put the masters in their little pocket, this Sunday, during the face-to-face meetings of Revolution. His opponents Richard and Laura, despite being world champions in ballroom, had no other choice but to bow.

Amanda and Francis, who form Diffo, might have been a little impressed by Richard and Laura. “We don’t really know the ballroom, and we didn’t really know what to expect,” Amanda admitted. We just knew they were world champions. We didn’t take them for granted and that motivated us even more to create a very strong number.”

For their performance, they continued with an Afro dance, enhanced with humor. “We sometimes go out of our style, we also use the break, to create numbers that are out of the ordinary,” explained Francis. For humor, it’s especially part of our daily lives. We laugh a lot together, we make each other laugh and that is reflected in our acts. With the afro, we can afford to go crazy.”

For Amanda, the afro induces this joy of living. “With contemporary, we can express deep emotions, and more often sad ones. In afro, we can allow ourselves to seek joy in people, it brings a humorous side.”

The public is not indifferent to their humor and their prowess, since their audition number was among the most viewed on social networks since the start of the show, with more than 1.6 million views on Facebook and nearly 750,000 on TikTok. This face-to-face issue, with their surprising revolution, should follow the same path.
