Review of the album “Discipline”, Petit Biscuit

Little Biscuit dives into the Discipline. The most knowledgeable will immediately notice a third album synonymous with a turning point in his artistic career that evokes themes as mature as they are introspective according to tones with multiple influences. Funk, rock and ambient, for example, are now part of the adventure, not without occasionally calling upon a certain Daft Punk. The French DJ and producer has also complied with an iron regime for Disciplinesince he uses his voice for the first time throughout the album.

Petit Biscuit thus leads us along ultra-polished electronic soundscapes, both familiar and disconcerting, which are the fruit of three years of reflection and solitary experimentation. The album invites the listener to discover a dozen pieces where each detail is carefully thought out, worked on, as the artist has accustomed us to until now.

In the end, what emerges from the form of this road trip musical is a very west coast American.
