Revelations in the Jubillar case: “This idea of moving Delphine’s body comes from me”

In 2021, a new element comes to shake up the Jubillar affair. Since December 2020, Delphine Jubillar’s relatives have not heard from her. A disappearance without a crime scene or confession but in which her husband, with whom she was going to divorce, appears as the number 1 suspect. When her former cellmate, Marco, reveals to have capital information, hope is strong to understand what it actually happened. He established a relationship of trust with the painter-plasterer in pre-trial detention for spousal homicide and tried to find out more, hoping to find the body of the nurse from Cagnac-les-Mines in the Tarn. He spoke in the columns of the Parisian-Today in France behind the scenes of his meeting with this ideal culprit with whom he has just been confronted in court.

At first, Marco is quite annoyed by the behavior of his cell neighbor who tends to talk a lot. He wants to keep quiet, but gradually he realizes that whoever is the ideal culprit in the Jubillar case is more and more talkative. Even calculator. “It’s trying to get into my brain“, says the one who spent sixteen years behind bars and knows the criminal world well.

Seeing the content of what the accused plasterer-painter says about his wife, whom he nicknames “the other”, his sordid questions about the burial of bodies, Marco joins the game of his cell neighbor and gives her the idea of moving Delphine’s body near the home of her lover who lives in Montauban: “This idea (…) comes from me. I suggest that he divert suspicion not towards Delphine’s lover, which wouldn’t have made much sense, but rather towards the lover’s wife. I tell him that if the body is discovered near their home, with traces of DNA and blood that we could pick up in their garbage cans, it will necessarily be cleared. Cédric replies that it’s a good idea and that he hasn’t thought of it.

By actively participating in the discussions with Cédric Jubillar and then by reporting his information to the prison authorities, Marco, who recalls not having benefited from the favor of justice, wants to allow Delphine’s children to know the truth. For the time being, the revelations have not made it possible to find any trace of his body.

Cédric Jubillar remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the final judgment of this case.
