Unseen footage from the next Top Gun: Maverick were unveiled on Sunday as the curtain raiser for the first NFL conference semi-final by the top gun himself, Tom Cruise.

The two-minute capsule hosted by the popular actor and broadcast before the American Association final was not only intended to generate interest in the feature film, which arrives 36 years after the original film, it was also staged to present the what was at stake in the match that would ultimately be won 27-24 by the Cincinnati Bengals at the expense of the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the clip shown on CBS, the star of Top Gun presented the strengths of the teams involved in an original mix of football sequences and spectacular scenes of aerial maneuvers taken from the film which is due to hit our screens on May 27th. “Life is more fun when it comes with a little action,” concluded Tom Cruise, who will reprise his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.
The film will also star Miles Teller, Glen Powell and Monica Barbaro, new recruits trained by Maverick, himself graduating from the same naval school in the 80s. Top Gun: Maverick is completed by Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Lewis Pullman, Jay Ellis and Danny Ramirez.
