Frédéric Mitterrand died at the age of 76 on Thursday March 21. His first appearance was in 1960, when he was 12, in a film with Michèle Morgan and Bourvil. In 1971, at the age of 24, Frédéric Mitterrand abandoned his job as a teacher and found himself at the head of a network of cinemas which screen classics of the seventh art. 10 years later, in 1981, he made his first film. But it was on the small screen that his love of cinema flourished.

On television, Frédéric Mitterrand goes through shows and portraits of celebrities, with his inimitable phrasing. The nephew of François Mitterrand also embraced a political career by becoming Minister of Culture in 2009, under the presidency of Nicolas Sarkozy. After leaving the government in 2012, Frédéric Mitterrand devoted himself to directing documentaries and writing novels and essays, his lifelong passions.
