As in the heyday of the conquest of space against a backdrop of the Cold War, Russians and Americans sought to be the first to shoot a fiction in space. Mission successful for the Russians, who have just completed their shooting.
The return to Earth is spectacular. A Soyuz capsule landed on Sunday, October 17, in the steppes of Kazakhstan, with an unusual crew on board, including the Russian actress Yulia Peressild, chosen from among 3,000 candidates to shoot the very first film in space. Proven, it is delicately extracted from the capsule to applause. The director, Klim Chipenko, has also just spent 12 days on the International Space Station (ISS) to film his first fiction in orbit.
The landing was broadcast by the first Russian channel, and its passengers are now considered heroes in the great history of space. “I feel great, I can’t walk yet, but I’m in a very good mood. I’ll be back home in Moscow soon. (Russia)“, said Yulia Peressild. The adventure began on October 5, after weeks of training. The film, titled The challenge, follows a surgeon going aboard the ISS to save the life of a cosmonaut.
