Return of obstacles on the roads: the La Fontaine tunnel closed towards the South Shore

The return of work on the roads forces the closure of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel in the direction of Longueuil on the South Shore, during the weekend.

The closure will be in effect between exit 5 of Highway 25 southbound towards Sherbrooke Street and Île-Charron Street, from Saturday 12:30 a.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

The closure will become partial with 1 of 3 lanes open from Monday until the end of 2022, due to work on a section of Highway 25 southbound.

For the same reasons, Souligny Avenue will be completely closed in both directions between Dickson and Honoré-Beaugrand streets, from Friday 11:30 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

At the Saint-Pierre interchange, the ramp leading from the A-20 eastbound to Route 138 westbound towards the Honoré-Mercier bridge will also be closed during the same period.

The obstructions will also result in the default closure of the 1st Avenue entrance for westbound Route 138, according to Mobility Montreal.
