The second opus of “Retirement Home”, with the arrival of a new star, Jean Reno, will be released on Wednesday February 14. The comedy tells, with humor and tenderness, the life of seniors in nursing homes and the passage of time.
A wind of good humor blows through the corridors of a Versailles retirement home, in Yvelines. That day, the reception room was transformed into a cinema room. Jacqueline Amblard, a resident for several months, wanted to be present. “It’s a good idea”, she comments. Children and retirees are invited to share the pleasure of the big screen, an intergenerational activity which echoes the theme of the projected film, Retirement home 2.
Comedy co-written by Kev Adams
The comedy is starred and co-written by Kev Adams. In his film, orphans and retirees live together in the same establishment. “I believe that there is a generational divide that is being created with the youngest, and it is important to make films that can bring these two generations together”, he explains. At the end of the session, the actors interacted with the audience. The director, Claude Zidi Junior, is delighted that his film “can please both children and grandparents”.
