The Bouillon Bilk restaurant, a renowned address on Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal, fell prey to flames during the night from Thursday to Friday.
The establishment will remain closed for an indefinite period, as soot has caused significant damage inside the building. “It can be counted in weeks, if not in months,” said co-owner Mélanie Blanchette.
According to her, the fire started in the kitchen when no one was in the restaurant.
Refusing to be discouraged, the Bouillon Bilk team “has ideas” to compensate for the closure of its premises, perhaps by establishing its headquarters elsewhere, said Mélanie Blanchette.
Until then, she recommends Bouillon Bilk’s sister restaurants to her customers: Cadet, Place Carmin and Oncle Lee.
