Resignation of Sophie Brochu | Legault judges to have been treated unfairly

(Quebec) Prime Minister François Legault considers himself treated unfairly in the controversy following the departure of the president of Hydro-Québec, Sophie Brochu.

In a scrum on Wednesday in parliament, he said he heard and read all sorts of comments following the premature resignation of Mme Brochu and he judges that it is “unfair”, in his words.

He repeated many times that there are not two clans in Quebec, those who work for businesses and those who work for Quebecers.

The Prime Minister assured that he and his team are working for the benefit of Quebecers.

He explained at length that he was not going to sell electricity at a discount to companies to attract them to Quebec, but that he was going to ensure that the spinoffs would be greater than the tariff advantages granted.
