British singer Adele, who has taken to the top of the charts with her new album 30, has chosen to set his home in Las Vegas early next year with a series of residency shows at the Colosseum Theater at Caesar’s Palace.
The artist, whose recent record has sold faster than any other in 2021, will kick off his series on January 21 titled Weekends With Adele. It will offer two performances each weekend until April 16. These are the first show dates announced by the performer since the launch of 30, on November 19. This means that two divas will be on stage at the same time in Las Vegas at the beginning of the year, the American Katy Perry presenting her show. Play in January and March at the Resorts World Casino Theater.
In a recent interview with the magazine Rolling StoneAdele had indicated that she was ambivalent about the idea of touring several cities around the world, especially as the risks associated with COVID-19 are still worrying. She therefore chose the stability of the Colosseum theater, a room first built to accommodate Celine Dion in March 2003; the Québécoise has given 1,141 shows there in 16 years in front of more than 4.5 million spectators.
