Republicans have at least 132,500 members before memberships close

The Republicans party had 132,500 members on the evening of Monday, November 15, on the eve of the closing of memberships to participate in Congress, franceinfo learned from the party. This represents an increase of more than 53,000 members (+ 67%) since the launch of the Congress process at the end of September.

The increase is over 8,000 inserts since November 12, date of the last detailed weekly summary which reported 124,411 memberships, a document to which franceinfo had access.

Of the 124,411 LR members, 61,207, half, are new members. For 63,204 of them, this is a renewal, indicates this detailed weekly summary.

Among the most important federations, in terms of membership, we find the Alpes-Maritimes at the top: 9,010 members, including 5,268 new (+ 141%). It is the department where the deputy Éric Ciotti is elected. Next comes Paris, with 8,955 members, of which 5,419 are new (+ 153%).

In Hauts-de-Seine, there are 6,427 members, including 3,659 new members (+ 132%). This is the department where Philippe Juvin, mayor of La Garenne-Colombes, is elected.

In the Bouches-du-Rhône, there are 5,355 members, including 2,812 new members (+ 111%). In the Yvelines, there are 4,827 members, including 2,867 new members (+ 153%), chosen land for Valérie Pécresse, president of the Île-de-France region. In the department of origin of Michel Barnier, Savoie, there are 1,681 members, including 1,265 new (+ 304%).

On the electoral grounds of Xavier Bertrand, current president of the Hauts-de-France region, in the Aisne 1,084 members, including 550 new (+ 104%).

Tuesday, November 16 is the last day to join the party if we want to be able to vote on December 4 to choose the candidate of the right for the presidential election of 2022.
