The biggest pop stars are currently jostling in a place nestled in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, the Studios Rue Boyer, just opened. Proof of the place now taken by recording studios in the artistic process. And in this respect, France has its card to play.
There are places where you feel good, immediately. Both design and comfortable, made of raw materials, the Studios Rue Boyer open onto a fireplace, and are extended by multiple modular spaces, invisible from the street. “We have gone very far, in terms of design and quality“, smiles Victor Lévy-Lasne, one of the two founders.
In fact, Victor Lévy-Lasne and Maxime Le Guil have created the studio of their dreams.
Giving a soul to the place, to inspire us and other people, was important to make everyone feel comfortable

And for several months, as confirmed by Maxime Le Guil: “At the moment, there are a lot of foreigners in Paris, especially around Fashion Week, with for example Pharrell Williams taking over the management of Louis Vuitton, we realize that there is a real attraction“. And in fact, right next door, Tony Hoffer, a great sound engineer, is giving a masterclass to volunteers, as part of the Mix With The Masters program, launched thirteen years ago by the owners of the place. .
Pharrell Williams, Little Simz, Rosalia for her latest EP with Rauw Alejandro, or even Jack Antonoff, star producer who worked on Lana Del Rey’s latest album here, who “was supposed to stay three weeks, and finally, he stayed five months“, slips Maxime Le Guil… Everyone has recently praised the quality of the studios, and in particular the unusually spacious “control room”.
Before, we worked there in secret, almost taboo. Today, recording studios reveal themselves, more and more beautiful, as a place where the artist shapes his music and sometimes even deploys his inspiration.
