Duchess Meghan Shares Insights on ‘Uncomfortable’ Experiences

Duchess Meghan, at the age of 43, has embraced a new lifestyle in Montecito alongside Prince Harry, 40. Enjoying a peaceful family life away from royal controversies, they cherish moments with their kids, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3. In a candid interview with ‘People’, Meghan opens up about forming friendships in California, stating, ‘I have a few girlfriends here – they are stay-at-home moms and working professionals who prefer to stay out of the spotlight.’ She elaborates, ‘We bonded not just through our kids but also over shared girls’ nights and Pilates sessions.’

As the daughter-in-law of King Charles, 76, Meghan also shares her enthusiasm for joining group classes with as many as 50 participants. ‘I simply walk in and say ‘Hi!”, she explains regarding her approach to fitness classes. Initially, she found it daunting to join in such a setting. ‘At first, I felt overwhelmed. Honestly, anyone who steps into a yoga class with 50 people might feel a bit self-conscious if they’re among the last arrivals and everyone’s gaze is on them!’, admits Duchess Meghan. Thankfully, she seems to have overcome that discomfort.

Protests Erupt Ahead of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima’s East Africa Visit

King Willem-Alexander, 57, and Queen Máxima, 53, are scheduled to visit Kenya on Tuesday, March 18. The Dutch royal couple is embarking on a three-day trip to Africa, following an invitation from President William Ruto, 58. However, their visit has sparked significant protests, with a petition on ‘change.org’ opposing the royals’ travel gaining over 22,000 signatures.

Following the announcement of the trip, voices of dissent emerged from the Republic, urging the Dutch royal family to reconsider or cancel their visit in light of the current political climate under Ruto’s administration. The petition highlights concerns over human rights and governance, stating, ‘The visit risks endorsing a regime with a troubling track record.’ The royal couple is being called upon to reassess their relationship with Ruto, as his tenure has been marred by allegations of arbitrary arrests and human rights abuses.

‘The Netherlands must critically evaluate the implications of collaborating with a head of state linked to such serious allegations,’ the petition continues. Meanwhile, the official website of the Dutch royal family promotes the visit, noting the longstanding relationship between the Netherlands and Kenya, which has flourished for over 60 years. On March 18, Willem-Alexander and Máxima are expected to meet with William Ruto, followed by a public statement to the media. They also plan to engage with local communities.
