Many French people therefore prefer to get their hands dirty in order to repair their possessions themselves. In order to find out if it costs less, France Télévisions carried out the investigation. To change the screen of a smartphone, you have to spend 24 euros for a kit compared to 100 euros for it to be repaired in a store. Same observation for the zipper of jeans, which costs less, 10 euros compared to 28 euros in a haberdashery, provided you have a sewing machine. For electronic devices, only an expert can repair it.
