To save money and take care of the planet, you can change your furniture without breaking the bank. This is the case in Moulins (Allier), where an association is bringing old wooden furniture back to life. Reporting.

These are unique pieces, made of solid wood, like new. However, they come from a sorting center. In a separate space, individuals can place all the objects and furniture for which they hope to have a second life. Every Monday, some look for old wooden furniture. Their find of the day leaves for a new adventure in a workshop near the city center of Moulins (Allier). In this association, we strip, we sand, we paint, on the advice of a former Compagnon of the Tour de France. No question of wasting: when a piece of furniture cannot be renovated, we dismantle it to create new pieces.

Employees undergoing reintegration

For many, it is a new profession, a springboard to regain self-confidence, because it is a reintegration project. On the other side of the workshop, the boutique has been open for a year and a half. A farmer opens lodges, and she brought her own furniture from her grandparents. That day she discovered her remodeled furniture.
