After the victories of Paris in Ajaccio, Lyon in Montpellier, and Lens in Marseille, in the first three matches of the twelfth day of Ligue 1, two new teams won away on Sunday, October 23. Brest and Rennes return to Brittany with three points in their pocket, while their neighbor Lorient only got the point from the draw in Troyes. Reims is the only team to have won at home, against Auxerre, before the meetings between Nice and Nantes (5 p.m.), then Lille and Monaco (8:45 p.m.).
The good deal: Rennes sees the podium
Stade Rennes remains in contact in the lead car of the championship, but the Bretons had to wait until the end of added time to bring back three points from their short trip to Angers (1-2). Relaunched in his new colors, Amine Gouiri opened the scoring (43rd), scoring a goal for the fourth consecutive game. But the Angevins equalized on the return from the locker room through Amine Salama (53rd). From the penalty spot, Romain Del Castillo opened the scoring for the Pirates (14th), before Franck Honorat (54th) and Jérémy Le Douaron (68th) widened the gap. Strasbourg saves a point in Toulouse

The Balogun-Ito pair carry Reims against Auxerre
In an important duel between poorly ranked, who recently dismissed their respective coach, it was Reims who pocketed the three points against Auxerre and gave themselves some air in the standings (2-1). The Rémois were able to count on their formidable offensive pair formed by Folarin Balogun and Junya Ito, who have now scored 11 of the 14 Champagne goals in Ligue 1 this season. Troyes slows down Lorient
Launched on a series of six victories, the Lorientais are slowed down with a second consecutive draw, in Troyes (2-2). The Merlus scuttled themselves, offering two goals to the Trojans, with the opener against his side by Julien Laporte (33rd), then an uncertain back pass from Montassar Talbi towards his goalkeeper, intercepted by Rony Lopes (60th ).
