In Seine-et-Marne, a couple decided to install photovoltaic panels to halve their bill. It will save 1000 euros in 2024, thanks to a battery. When the sun shines, the panel sends its kilowatt hours for immediate consumption. The surplus is stored in the battery. If there is any left, head to the network, where the couple can resell it. When night falls, the battery provides electricity. If more is needed, Enedis takes over.

“Taking into account the price per kilowatt hour and the savings we will make, the amortization is much faster. If we take a 4.5 kilo kit with the battery, we will be around 20,000 euros. This allows us to amortize it in around fifteen years”explains Thierry Fallard, president of the HESTIOM group.
Panels and batteries can also be found on social networks. Lighter installations are touted by influencers. More and more French people are being tempted by solar energy. In June 2023, there were 10,184 homes equipped with battery panels.
