“This choice to be vaccinated must be supported.” Renaud Muselier, president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region, has “offers” in a letter to the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, sent to the media on Monday, November 29, to make Covid-19 screening tests free for people “on the way to vaccination”. And this “between the injection of their first dose and the injection of their second dose”.

Renaud Muselier specifies that the cost of the tests in the five weeks separating the two injections can go “up to 900 euros”. The elected official mentions in particular the case of non-vaccinated workers, in the ski and mountain sector in particular, and young seasonal workers not yet vaccinated “who will not be able to afford to pay such a sum” between their two doses of vaccine.

“This measure would provide major support to this important sector”, adds the president of the Paca region, “after the two dark seasons lived” by resorts and mountain towns in the region, where “the status quo is untenable”.

In the letter, Renaud Muselier specifies that his region will be at the side of the government in these efforts in favor of vaccination, with in particular “a 3rd dose vaccinobus” in the areas furthest from the vaccination centers.
