“This recall involves the Ionic smartwatch for fitness tracking. It is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with an autonomy of about four days. The Ionic smartwatch features a 1.4-inch (3.6 cm) LCD color screen and a bracelet available in several sizes to adapt to the various circumferences of the wrists of the customers”, detailed Health Canada.

A total of 70,561 watches were sold in Canada between August 2017 and August 2020.

People who own these watches should stop using them and contact Fitbit for a refund.
