We knew him as a humorist, animal rights activist and videographer, the Montpellier resident Rémi Gaillard returns to the front of the stage in the role of clip director. A successful attempt with the tribute of the singers of LEJ to the 80s. With as a guest-star, the official replica of the DeLorean from “Back to the Future”.

The musicians and singers of the group LEJ, scene revelation of the Victoires de la musique 2017, have made themselves known to the general public with their annual covers of songs. They are back this fall with Mashup 80. Michael Jackson, Queen, Madonna, Prince and so many others are summoned in a very successful and colorful clip, directed by comedian and videographer Rémi Gaillard.

Could the three singers find better means of transport than the mythical DeLorean from the flagship saga of the 80s Back to the future to time travel? Of course not. And it was in Brittany that Rémi Gaillard went to find the cult object, an official replica of the car from the film, owned since 2018 by an enthusiast, Victor Deguérande.

It was designed by Kevin Pike, who was the special effects supervisor on the films. “I chose Victor’s car for two reasons, explains Rémi Gaillard, already because it is one of the only official replicas and it is in France. And then for the extreme kindness of Victor.”

Based in Brittany, Victor Deguérande is an enthusiast like no other. Computer scientist, writer, collector, he imagined and set up at home a universe dedicated to Back to the future. Around the DeLorean, objects, filming memories and anecdotes fill his private museum which he enjoys visiting young and old enthusiasts, all dreaming of getting on board one of the most emblematic cars in the history of the movie theater.
