The Montreal Canadiens have recalled forward Rem Pitlick from their Laval Rocket school club, the Montreal club announced. He was also on the ice at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard with his teammates on Wednesday morning.
Pitlick has three assists in three games with the Rocket this season. He had not been claimed after being placed on waivers by the Habs on November 7.
The 25-year-old forward has also played in seven games with the Bleu-blanc-rouge this season.
His recall is no stranger to the announcement the day before, after the 5-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Center, of a four to six week absence of Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin due to from an upper body injury suffered November 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Head coach Martin St-Louis’ men will face the Blue Jackets in Columbus on Thursday night.
