The race finally started again, but a shiver of dread crossed Silverstone as soon as the first corner was crossed, Sunday July 3, 2022, at the British Grand Prix. An impressive pile-up involved several cars, including the Alfa Romeo of Chinese driver Guanyu Zhou and the Williams of Briton Alexander Albon.

Long minutes passed before the FIA gave any news of the two drivers, while the red flag was immediately waved. Zhou and Albon are “aware”, assured the International Automobile Federation on Twitter. They were transported “at the medical center” to be examined. The two pilots have no “serious injuries”then communicated the instance.
