Hope is tenuous, minimal, but it exists. Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), defending champion, must win the GP of Valencia, Sunday November 6, and count on a catastrophic result from Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) – at best 15th – to retain his world crown, during this last race of the season.
Fourth in qualifying, the Frenchman has already taken a slight advantage over the Italian, author of the eighth time. But there is still a long way to go for him to catch up with the 23 points behind him on the Transalpin. Pole position was achieved by Jorge Martin (Ducati), ahead of Marc Marquez (Honda) and Jack Miller (Ducati).
