The cauldron in the Tuileries Gardens was extinguished after the performance of the two Malian singers.
Amadou and Mariam sang the famous I came to tell you that I’m leaving, by Serge Gainsbourg, during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games, Sunday, September 8. The two blind Malian singers have performed this song in the Tuileries Garden, in front of the cauldron that could not be lifted due to the weather conditions (rain, wind) in Paris. They were accompanied by a string quartet.
The cauldron then went out at the moment when, at the Stade de France, Paralympic boccia champion HASUrélie Aubert blew on the Paralympic flame to extinguish it, marking the end of the Games.
