We knew that the test against the Fijian artists would be difficult, it was in line with expectations. Despite a good start to the match, the French rugby 7s team lost, Thursday, July 25, against Fiji (19-12). The French defense was unable to stem the incessant waves of the islanders, who confirmed their excellent start to the tournament and their status as favorites.
The entry into play of Antoine Dupont has, unfortunately for the Tricolores, not changed the situation, even if the latter showed some progress in the game compared to their first two matches played the day before. Progress that will have to be confirmed, and especially further amplified, from Thursday evening (9:30 p.m.) against Argentina in the quarter-finals.
