One hundred and four years after the armistice of 1918, France commemorates the end of the First World War on Friday 11 November. Many ceremonies were organized across the country, in the morning, to also pay tribute to all who died for France. Follow our live.

Emmanuel Macron presided over the commemorations in Paris. The Head of State presided over the commemoration ceremony for the 104th anniversary of the 1918 armistice. He first laid a wreath at the foot of the statue of Georges Clemenceau, on the Champs-Elysées, before going to the foot of the Arc de Triomphe to pay homage to the French flag.

Jordan Bardella, the new president of the National Rally, was in Villers-Cotterêts, in Aisne, to attend a ceremony which began at 10 a.m. Also in this department, Jean-Luc Mélenchon went to Chauny for the official ceremony of November 11, at 11 a.m., before delivering a speech at 2 p.m. in front of the monument dedicated to the soldiers shot for example. Marine Le Pen was in her stronghold of Hénin-Beaumont (Pas-de-Calais).
