The XV of Clover has revived perfectly after its defeat in France. Ireland has indeed largely beaten Italy, Sunday, February 27 in Dublin (57-6). Jonathan Sexton’s teammates scored nine tries, earning a bonus win. They were helped by an early expulsion of transalpine hooker Hame Faiva. Italy was even reduced to thirteen, after an application of the deficiency rule.
This quiet success places the Irish in second place in the Six Nations Tournament, three points behind France. Italy remains confined to last place and heads for the wooden spoon.
