No title (yet) for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman came seventh in the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, October 2, marked by repeated safety cars (six retirements). Starting eighth in qualifying, the Dutchman did not manage to get back to the front of the race after an upset start and an exit from the track on the fortieth lap. It was his teammate Sergio Pérez who won ahead of the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Under penalty procedure for non-respect of safety distances with the safety car, the Mexican had to wait two and a half hours before savoring his success. Finally sanctioned with a 5-second penalty, but benefiting from a comfortable lead over his runner-up, the Red Bull driver secured his second victory of the season.

Alpine, for its part, had a catastrophic day, suffering a double retirement from Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso due to mechanical problems. The latter was competing in his 350th Grand Prix, a record. This is the second consecutive Grand Prix where the French team has not scored a single point. Relive the race.
