Terrible weekend for Ferrari in front of the tifosi. While they were expected to play the outposts, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc failed to thwart the plans of Red Bull and Max Verstappen. Untouchable, the Dutchman won ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez and the Briton Lando Norris on Sunday April 24 at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix on the Imola circuit. Already winner of the sprint race on Saturday and author of the fastest lap in the race, ‘Max’ scored 34 points this weekend.

Long third and in contact with Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc lost control of his car after putting on soft tires nine laps from the end. A misadventure which demoted him to sixth place, causing him to lose precious points. He therefore sees his lead in the drivers’ classification shrink. His team-mate Carlos Sainz experienced another difficult Grand Prix, abandoning on the first lap of the race. In big trouble, Lewis Hamilton finished 14th, just behind Pierre Gasly. Penalized for a dangerous manoeuvre, Esteban Ocon finished in 11th place.
