I find almost comical the idea defended by Mathieu Bock-Côté and taken up by Mr. Legault who wants our religious heritage to have had an influence on the values of Quebec solidarity.
How could the Catholic religion, with its overly large and overly rich churches, its intransigent and severe clergy, its unjust hierarchy, have sown the seeds of the “Quebec model”?
Why would she have had this influence here and not in all the other Catholic countries?
Proofread Thérèse and Pierrette at the School of Saints-Angesby Michel Tremblay, to immerse you in this historical context where “Christian charity” was rarely practiced by those who should have done it in the first place.
To explain the roots of our Quebec model, I prefer the NFB film The footprintby Carole Poliquin and Yvan Dubuc, with Roy Dupuis, who explains our cooperation model through our Aboriginal roots.
The thesis defended in this documentary makes so much sense! It’s a shame he isn’t better known.
