Implicated in 2022 in a case of intimate video blackmail against the centrist Gilles Artigues, “the clan of the mayor of Saint-Étienne Gaël Perdriau wanted to trap another local political figure, the former councilor Michel Thiollière”, reveals Monday October 2 Médiapart. The site broadcasts a video dating from 2015 showing the mayor’s chief of staff, Pierre Gauttieri, and communicator Gilles Rossary-Lenglet. They mention the desire to film Michel Thiollière without his knowledge with an underage prostitute, recruited with a view to trapping and blackmailing him in the future. “What is the kid? Is she a French girl? Is she a Romanian? Or a Bulgarian?” questions the chief of staff during the meeting.

“According to Gilles Rossary-Lenglet, who handed over a copy of this video on Tuesday September 26 to the investigating judges seized of the sex tape case against Gilles Artigues, the trap imagined against Michel Thiollière was not subsequently executed “complete Médiapart.

Contacted by the site, the current mayor of Saint-Etienne, Gaël Perdriau, reacted through his lawyer, Christophe Ingrain, reporting that his client refused “to legitimize a new unfounded attack which actually aims to destroy it”. To France 3, the former mayor targeted by this project Michel Thiollière denounces for his part “an occult pharmacy which had access to the mayor and his chief of staff to imagine dirty tricks”.

The alleged protagonists indicted

The previous affair broke out at the end of August 2022 when Gilles Rossary-Lenglet revealed to Mediapart the existence of an intimate video shot in January 2015 in which Gilles Artigues, political rival of Gaël Perdriau, appears being massaged by a man in a room hotel in Paris. This fifty-year-old claimed in his confession to have participated in this “destruction of morals” at the request of the mayor and his entourage, with the aim of politically neutralizing the centrist elected official. In April 2023, Gaël Perdriau, Pierre Gauttieri, Gilles Rossary-Lenglet as well as a former municipal deputy, Samy Kéfi-Jérôme, were indicted.
