Following threats made by the Islamic State against stadiums hosting Champions League matches, security was tight for the next matches, including PSG – FC Barcelona, Wednesday April 10 at the Parc des Princes.
A summit match is to be held on Wednesday April 10, at the Parc des Princes, in Paris. PSG – FC Barcelona, a dream poster which must bring together many supporters, under the threat of the Islamic State group. The terrorist organization’s branch in Afghanistan has released a worrying message, calling for attacks on several stadiums hosting Champions League matches. The Parc des Princes is one of them.
More than 1,000 police officers mobilized
Faced with this threat, more than 1,000 police officers will be deployed on Wednesday evening. They will be able to search the bags at the entrances, and the BIS will be called in for reinforcement, as specified by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin. Furthermore, France claims to exchange information with other European countries on this branch of the Islamic State, which is said to be increasingly active. But these threats do not seem to discourage supporters.
