The government uses common sense and has not taken any restrictive measures other than closing nightclubs. He nevertheless affirmed to tighten the controls in the trains.

All travelers are expected to present the sanitary pass on the train. But the controls are not systematic in the stations. For the end of year celebrations, the SNCF announced reinforced checks. Since Monday, December 13, one in three trains has been checked, against one in four previously.

Checks are random, but on some docks no agent checks. “The valid health pass is 99% respected for travelers. The system is therefore very effective”, answers Aymeric Chassaing, communication officer at SNCF. The train company expects three million passengers for the holiday season, a figure up 50% from the same period last year.
