Sunday 1er last May, Régine passed away. The singer, actress and businesswoman has died at the age of 92. “The Queen of the Night is leaving: closure due to a long and great career”the official statement read. “Gone Peacefully”as her granddaughter Daphné Rotcajg told Agence France-Presse, the one we called “Queen of the Night” had prepared his funeral down to the last details. As she arrived in a carriage at the Père-Lachaise cemetery, Régine had also written her last words for her loved ones. Among them, many celebrities, including Carla Bruni, Carole Bouquet, Jane Birkin, Marc Lavoine and his ex-wife Sarah Poniatowski and many others.

“Before the curtain falls on all these beautiful years shared with you, my family and my loved ones are going to tell you a few words about me. We are going to listen to and sing together some of my songs”they could read on the funeral booklet relayed by the AFP journalist Jean-François Guyot on Twitter. “My Catherine Ringer is going to interpret my ‘Petits papiers’ for you. Then it will be time to pick up the disco balls and remind you that I have lived a thousand lives with you. I only take away the best!”. These last words of Régine were signed by hand and preceded by a “See you soon”.
