red flood vigilance lifted in the Landes, little intervention by firefighters

The night was relatively calm in the Landes noted the firefighters this Tuesday morning, despite a large device put in place to deal with the floods. The recession announced for the day

This Tuesday around 8 a.m., the level of the combined Gaves was stabilized at 5.08 meters at Peyrehorade. The flood peak occurred in the middle of the night, with a Gave d’Oloron raised to 4.79 meters in Escos. The recession should be confirmed during the day to then give way to cleaning operations and reopening of the closed roads.

This Tuesday morning, a hundred homes were still blocked by cut roads. The firefighters call on the inhabitants to stay at home and to avoid these axes while the water recedes.
