With 43 points after 30 games, the Red Bulls temporarily settled in sixth place in the Eastern Conference. The reigning league champions Crew are seeing their last chances slowly go up in smoke, in 10th place with 38 points.

Cristian Casseres fils opened the scoring very early in the meeting. The only scorer in the Red Bulls ‘last victory last Sunday, the young midfielder stood out by redirecting Tom Edwards’ corner kick with a header in the 7th minute of play.

Miguel Berry quickly created the equality, and it is at the very end of the match that she will be broken. Sean Nealis, with a karate kick that would make Zlatan Ibrahimovic proud, redirected a ball behind Eloy Room to give New York the victory.

NYCFC destroys everything

At Yankee Stadium, DC United knew from the first minute of play that the evening was going to be very long. On its territory, New York City FC humiliated the representatives of the American capital 6-0.

Thiago Andrade opened the scoring in the first seconds by accepting a surrender in goal from Malte Amundsen. Valentin Castellanos got there with a quick brace afterwards and Maxi Moralez gave the crowd favorites a 4-0 lead before the intermission.

Alexander Callens and Jesus Medina completed the scoring in the second half of the meeting. The NYCFC pelted Bill Hamid’s cage with 15 shots on target.

Both teams had the same number of points before the game, but New York now climbs to fifth in the East (44 points), while DC United remains ninth (41 points).

Losing 2-1 to Sporting Kansas City, the Seattle Sounders missed their last chance to get their hands on the Supporters’ Shield, awarded to the best team of the regular season. The New England Revolution, which claims 69 points in 31 games, is the lucky winner.
