The popular blogger Folks & Forks love this essential, simple and tasty family recipe for the holidays. “It’s the best thing on Earth, that’s all.” There’s nothing better in a Christmas or New Year’s buffet than Mimi’s little pigs! » she promises.
Quantity: 12 little pigs
Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
6 slices of white bread
About 100 g (3 ½ oz) cream cheese (½ container of 227 g)
6 slices of bacon cut in half
125 ml (½ cup) brown sugar
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 205°C (400°F).
2. Remove the crust from the bread and cut the slices in half.
3. Spread each half-slice with cream cheese, then roll them into a snail. Wrap half a slice of bacon around each half slice of bread, then secure with toothpicks.
4. In a deep plate, place the brown sugar. Generously coat the rolls with brown sugar, then place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper (at this stage, it is possible to cover the tray and refrigerate; preparation is best done the day before, which allows you to get ahead).
5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the bacon is cooked through. Serve immediately.
