Recipe: Oh-la-la lime meatballs

Preparation: 25 minutes
Oven: 180°C (350°F)
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Quantity: 25 to 30 meatballs (4 servings)

Ingredients

Dumplings

454 g (1 lb) ground pork (or beef or veal)
250 ml (1 cup) Rice Krispies cereal
10 ml (2 tsp) steak spices
1 pinch of salt

Sweet and sour sauce

200 g (⅔ cup) date puree
80 ml (⅓ cup) white wine vinegar
80 ml (⅓ cup) water
Zest and juice of one medium lime

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

2. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients from the black section well.

3. With your hands (very clean), shape 25 to 30 balls approximately 2.5 cm (1 in) in diameter.

4. Place the meatballs in a rectangular baking dish, taking care to space them out.

5. In another bowl, place all the ingredients from the gray section and mix them well.

6. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.

7. Bake everything in the oven for 40 minutes.

8. Yumski!

Note: these meatballs are excellent with rice and vegetables.
