The crisis that Kinder chocolates are going through, targeted by a health scandal, is benefiting chocolate artisans. Products that are a little more expensive, of course, but which guarantee better quality.
Forget about moderation. As Easter approaches, one watchword: have fun. This year, despite the multiplication of cases of salmonellosis caused by contaminated chocolates, there is no question of ignoring these sweets. If the supermarket recalls of Ferrero chocolates continue, the master chocolatiers of downtown Orléans (Loiret) are smiling.
Alisson Boyer, saleswoman at “La Chocolatière”, notices a larger crowd this year. Another direct consequence of the troubles of the Ferrero group: a more vigilant clientele on the quality of the products. “We have a lot of customers who ask us where the chocolate is made, even more than usual”, adds Maëva Jondot, shop manager of “L’Atelier du Chocolat”. And this new public gives the master chocolatier new ambitions: to build customer loyalty through new arguments.
