Real Madrid refuses to release its French players

Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy and Aurélien Tchouaméni could be affected by this decision by the Spanish club, taken before a very busy summer with the Euro then the Olympics.

The Spanish club Real Madrid has informed the French Football Federation (FFF) that it will not allow its French players to participate in the Paris Olympic Games, from July 24 to August 10, Radio France Sports management has learned from sources close to the Spanish club, confirming information from the daily The Team.

Real Madrid has in its ranks three players selectable for the Olympics: Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy and Aurélien Tchouaméni. Furthermore, the Merengue club will not allow its other players, who will be involved in the Euro or the Copa America, to play in the Games. “If we don’t defend the health of the players, who will?”explains this same source to the Sports management of radio France.
