The women’s ready-to-wear brand Naf Naf, placed in receivership in September 2023, was taken over on Tuesday June 18 by a Turkish fabric manufacturing company, according to a court decision consulted by AFP.
The company Migiboy Tekstil has put more than 1.5 million euros on the table to take over Naf Naf and has committed to safeguarding the jobs of 521 people, or 90% of the workforce, as well as 100 own stores. In May, the management of Naf Naf declared to AFP that Migiboy Tekstil’s offer demonstrated a “real desire to take over the company”.
In addition to being heavily in debt due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ready-to-wear brand suffered from“a drop in attendance in catchment areas” and the effect “inflation and the increase in the cost of raw materials”recalls the Bobigny commercial court in its decision.
