” Get out of here with Varda! The pinnacle of music dance and our youth, dancing in our living room in front of the television, because we were not yet 18. We got back together a few years later in the cages of the legendary Dôme on Sainte-Catherine Street, not far from Saint-Laurent…”

“Thom Yorke solo playing Street Spirit And Nice Dream on a 12 string. Never (re)seen anything so powerful in a performance unplugged. I already loved Radiohead, I became a complete fan. Thanks to Claude Rajotte and the entire MusiquePlus team for this moment of grace! »

“The show Mr. Net remains by far the most vivid memory I have of this television station. At the time, it was the only show I watched religiously with my son when he was a child (he is now 27 years old). Its concept on new technologies easily reached several generations. The friendliness of the columnists as well as the humor and obvious pleasure of hosting by Denis Talbot were palpable on the screen. The topics covered on the show were often the subject of discussions between my son and I, who were passionate about video games and new technologies at the time.

“My most memorable memory is Claude Rajotte and the CD Graveyard. I have made so many wonderful musical discoveries thanks to Mr. Rajotte! The capsules “Destroy” were also quite memorable.”

“The most striking memory remains my meeting with Véronique Cloutier during a school assignment in 4e or 5e secondary school. We had to interview someone who had a profession that excited us. I wrote to Véronique Cloutier, the channel’s VJ, to ask for an interview. When I followed up by phone (the good old method!), she herself confirmed our meeting by phone. I couldn’t believe my ears; I was over the moon. Véro, to her friends, was boundlessly generous, as she was taking her first steps in the television world. Between each of her appearances on camera, she took the time to answer my questions about her job. I still think about that precious moment when I see her on television. I take a long time to find the VHS that contains the excerpts of that moment of pure happiness for a teenager who was into music, cinema and television. Who knows, they may be lost forever…

“My best memory of MusiquePlus is the interviews with Sonia [Benezra] with English-speaking artists. When she instantly translates what the artist has just said, without hesitation, to see the artist’s face amazed, I was very impressed. Personally, it is surely my participation in the quiz Rockambolesque hosted by Denis Talbot. »

“One of my most vivid memories of MusiquePlus is when they aired a documentary about Marilyn Manson, and it was on at midnight. I was probably 13 or 14 at the time and I set my alarm to wake up at midnight and watch it. It was very subversive for the time!”

“My best memory remains that of the show Get out of herehosted by Juliette Powell. We would sit in front of the TV on Friday nights and laugh and dance, imitating the people present, some of whom took it very seriously! In short, it was really the good old days. Too bad our children will never know this side of life which, as simple as it was, was part of our daily lives.
