Ray Liotta’s death linked to heart and respiratory problems

The causes of Ray Liotta’s death have been revealed.

The “Goodfellas” actor died at age 67 in May 2022 in his sleep in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming the movie “Dangerous Waters.” According to documents obtained by TMZ, authorities in the Dominican Republic found heart and respiratory issues were behind the comedian’s death in May 2022.

The “Fields of Dreams” star died of acute heart failure, respiratory failure and pulmonary edema, that is, an accumulation of fluid in the lungs. He also suffered from atherosclerosis, which is a thickening or hardening of the arteries caused by the buildup of plaque.

Ray Liotta’s death was described as natural and non-violent.

The veteran actor was posthumously honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February 2023, with his daughter Karsen unveiling the star in his name. Besides Karsen, he is also survived by his fiancée Jacy Nittolo.
