The new series by Philippe Falardeau, Raspberry timewas selected in official competition at Séries Mania, the prestigious international series festival which will take place in France from March 18 to 25.

Competing in the International Panorama section, with 11 other titles, she has the chance to win the Prize for the best series.
The world premiere of raspberry time also closed the Berlinale Series section at the 72and Berlinale, Wednesday.
“After the Berlinale, Series Mania! We are spoiled! I hope that the Quebec public will enjoy it in April; that’s what counts above all,” exclaimed Philippe Falardeau.
The series was directed by Philippe Falardeau and written by Florence Longpré (Can you hear me ?) and Suzie Bouchard (eye of the storm, Between two sheets). It is produced by Julia Langlois, Annie Sirois and Carlos Soldevila, in collaboration with Quebecor Content.
Raspberry time tells the story of Elisabeth, a mother of two boys who inherits the family farm after the sudden death of her husband. She then decides to leave her job at the town hall to manage the farm, while raising her two sons on her own — William, a young deaf boy, and Junior, a narcissistic and insecure teenager. Unaware of the trials that await her, Elisabeth will discover a new universe filled with seasonal workers, questionable agricultural practices and an overcontrolling in-laws.
The 10-episode series was shot in the summer of 2021 and notably stars Sandrine Bisson, Edison Ruiz, Micheline Lanctôt, Elijah Patrice and Paul Doucet.
Raspberry time will be offered to Club illico subscribers as of April 14.
