Rapper Soprano postpones his Stade de France concert to 2023 due to work on the RER

The concert of rapper Soprano, a figure of the French music scene, at the Stade de France initially scheduled for July 2, 2022, has been postponed for several months, to March 6, 2023, due to work on the transport lines, in particular the RER B .

“We have been looking for a solution for months but the works around the Stade de France prevent us from finding ourselves in the best conditions”, announced Wednesday, April 6, 2022 Soprano on his Twitter account, while the Ile-de-France enclosure could only accommodate 50,000 people in the context of the works, against a capacity of 85,000 in normal configuration.

The organizers mention difficulties related to the work of the RER B, which serves the stadium. “State services have approached SNCF Réseau to ensure that the Stade de France rail service will operate under the usual conditions, which will allow the event to take place without hindrance” on March 6, 2023, indicated the companies Décibels Productions and Only Pro, organizers of the show, in a press release.

On his Twitter account, Soprano reassured his audience that all tickets purchased for this concert will be valid in 2023.

For fans of the rapper, it will therefore be necessary to wait nine months to attend the show within the confines of the Stade de France. “State services have approached SNCF Réseau to ensure that the Stade de France rail service will operate under the usual conditions, which will allow the event to take place without hindrance” on March 6, 2023, indicated the companies Décibels Productions and Only Pro, organizers of the show, in a press release.

The government had decided in mid-February to postpone the railway works in May to avoid disrupting the holding of the concert of the rock group Indochine at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, scheduled for May 21.

These ongoing modernization works on the RER B, one of the busiest railway lines in Europe and connecting the southern and northern suburbs of Paris, result in traffic interruptions in the evening or on certain weekends.
