(Los Angeles) American rapper Killer Mike was arrested by police on the sidelines of the Grammy ceremony on Sunday, just after winning three awards at this equivalent of the music Oscars.
A video posted on social media shows him handcuffed and escorted by agents through the corridors of the Crypto.com Arena, where the ceremony takes place.
According to Hollywood Reporterwhich cites a member of stadium security, the rapper was arrested for a matter that has nothing to do with the event.
Contacted by AFP, the Los Angeles police did not immediately respond.
Killer Mike won three gramophones, including best rap album for his opus Michaelduring the first ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
“I consciously tried to make the best album in the world,” he told the press after his victory.
With this record, he wanted to “tell the story of a young black boy growing up in west Atlanta, so that the world can see that our story is not about victimization and defeat, but that we can win, prosper and flourish,” he added.
