The head of the Socialist Party list for the European elections was the guest of “L’Evènement, l’interview” on France 2.

The head of the PS-Place publique list in the European elections Raphaël Glucksmann said on Tuesday February 2 on France 2 that he had left the Chinese social network Tik Tok, by refusing to “do the mariole” while denouncing foreign interference. “It’s a question of consistency. This social network is a pump (of money, editor’s note) to give to the service of the Chinese Communist Party. So, I didn’t see myself acting like a joke on Tik Tok while denouncing the foreign interference”he explained, guest of “L’Evènement, l’interview”.

The short video platform, very popular with young people, is accused by its detractors of giving the Chinese authorities access to user data from around the world, which the application strongly denies. Raphaël Glucksmann also estimated that “yes, there will be interference” foreigners during the European election campaign, and they “fwill favor those who serve Putin’s political interests, that is to say the European extreme right”. It will not be “not necessarily on voting day”but with “the rise of artificially polarizing subjects, aimed at favoring extremes”he warned.
