After Prince William and Kate Middleton, it’s the King’s turn Abdallah II and his wife Rania to unveil their New Year’s greetings card. On Wednesday, December 15, on her social networks, the Queen of Jordan has indeed shown the new family portrait chosen to celebrate the transition to 2022. The opportunity to see her four children reunited: Crown Prince Hussein (27 years old), Princess Iman (25), Princess Salma (20) and Prince Hashem (16).
“May the threads of happiness, hope and good health weave together your new year“, he wrote in the caption of the publication, relayed on Instagram and Twitter. In the image, Abdallah II and Rania of Jordan pose with a smile, surrounded by their tribe. A cliché that reveals the nice bond which binds the sovereign couple to their four grown children. At the height of his 16 years, the youngest Hashem now exceeds his parents and his sisters! Will he be taller than his brother Hussein? See you next year for the knowledge…
It is not uncommon to see the Queen relaying family photos on her Instagram account. Last September, she even shared a personal video retracing the childhood of her two daughters for their birthdays. Their two young princesses are now accomplished young women, each in different fields: Princess Iman is a student at the American University of Georgetown, in Washington, the same one where her big brother the Crown Prince Hussein had made his studies. For her part, Princess Salma graduated from the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst (UK) in 2018. She has since become the very first female jet pilot in the Jordanian army.
