Rangers win Presidents’ Trophy

By virtue of their victory on Monday night over the Ottawa Senators, the New York Rangers were assured of finishing the 2023-2024 season at the top of the overall National League standings.

They therefore put their hands on the Presidents’ trophy for the first time since 2015 and the fourth time in their history.

The Blueshirts finished their campaign with a record of 55-23-4 and a total of 114 points.

In Lafrenière’s case, it was his 28e goal and 57th point in 2023-2024.

The Senators, who have already been assured of not making the playoffs for quite a while, will conclude their season Tuesday against the Bruins in Boston.
